It collects real‑time rotational speed signals from the vehicle transmission, converts mechanical rotation into electrical pulse signals, and transmits the signals to the dashboard instrument. It supports odometer mileage calculation, real‑time vehicle speed display, driving data recording and related vehicle electronic control functions. Ⅳ. Installation Steps

1. Cut off the vehicle power supply before installation to prevent short‑circuit damage to electrical parts.

2. Locate the mounting thread hole of odometer sensor on vehicle gearbox, clean dirt, metal debris and old seal residue on the mounting surface.

3. Screw the new odometer sensor clockwise into the threaded hole of gearbox, tighten it with proper torque. Do not over‑tighten to avoid thread damage.

4. Connect the sensor plug to the vehicle wiring harness firmly, make sure the connector is fully locked and not loose. For wired models, arrange the harness reasonably to avoid pulling and squeezing.

5. Restore vehicle power supply, start the bus, test driving and check whether speed and mileage data display normally on dashboard instrument.

6. If the reading is abnormal, double‑check thread tightening status and connector connection condition.

Ⅴ. Precautions

1. Confirm the correct pulse parameter, model number and connector type before purchasing and installation. Wrong specification will lead to incorrect speed‑mileage reading.

2. Do not damage the sensor metal thread and sensing head during installation. Impact or knocking will cause internal component failure.

3. Keep the connector and harness far away from high‑temperature exhaust parts, to prevent high‑temperature melting and wire aging.

4. Prevent water, mud and dust from entering the connector socket. Moisture inside will cause signal intermittent or no signal.

5. Do not arbitrarily increase tightening torque. Excessive torque may crack the sensor housing or damage gearbox internal thread.

6. Regularly inspect sensor mounting condition and connector locking status during vehicle maintenance. Replace once there is oil leakage, housing crack or signal instability.

7. Store spare sensors in dry environment, avoid damp and corrosive atmosphere before mounting.
