Purpose

Installation Steps
1. Shut down the engine, cut off the whole vehicle power supply, and wait until the engine is fully cooled to avoid scalding.
2. Prepare the suitable sealing washer and installation tool, remove the old oil pressure sensor from the engine mounting base.
3. Clean the dirt, residual oil and impurities on the threaded hole of the mounting base.
4. Install the sealing washer on the new VT-YG201 sensor, align the thread with the mounting hole, screw it in manually first, then tighten moderately with a tool. Do not apply excessive torque.
5. Connect the wiring harness to the two terminal posts of the sensor, confirm firm connection without looseness.
6. Turn on the vehicle power supply, start the engine, check whether the oil pressure display on the instrument is normal and whether there is oil leakage at the threaded joint.
Notes
1. Installation must be carried out after the engine is cooled down and power is cut off. Hot operation may cause burns and oil spraying.
2. Do not bend, knock or drop the sensor before installation, collision will damage the internal precision sensing element.
3. Avoid over-tightening the thread, excessive force will cause thread slipping, shell cracking and oil leakage.
4. Confirm the wiring terminals are firmly connected. Loose wiring will lead to abnormal signal and false alarm of the whole vehicle system.
5. It is forbidden to modify the internal structure of the sensor privately once damaged; replace the whole sensor directly.
6. Regularly check the sensor and sealing washer during vehicle maintenance to prevent oil leakage and aging failure.
7. Store the spare sensor in a dry and ventilated environment, keep away from corrosive liquid and humid air.
