The 3825‑00009PT coolant water level sensor is specially manufactured for buses and coaches. It is mounted on the engine expansion tank to continuously monitor the real‑time liquid level of engine coolant. Once the coolant is lower than the safe threshold, it transmits alarm signal to the bus instrument panel to remind drivers to replenish coolant timely. It effectively avoids engine overheating, cylinder scuffing and other serious faults caused by insufficient cooling water, and ensures safe and stable operation of passenger vehicles.

Installation Steps
1. Confirm that the engine has been fully cooled. Release residual pressure inside the expansion tank before starting installation.
2. Unscrew the old sensor from the threaded hole of the expansion tank.
3. Screw the new 3825‑00009PT sensor clockwise into the threaded hole, tighten moderately. Do not apply excessive torque to prevent brass thread cracking.
4. Align and insert the waterproof 2‑pin connector into the corresponding vehicle wiring plug.
5. Add coolant to the specified normal liquid level.
6. Switch on the bus power supply and test whether the low‑water‑level alarm function works normally.
Notes
1. Installation and disassembly must be completed under cold‑engine condition. Hot coolant will cause scald hazard. Never operate when the engine is hot.
2. Do not over‑tighten the sensor thread; excessive force will damage the brass thread.
3. Keep wiring harness and connector far away from high‑temperature exhaust components, avoid cable aging and melting.
4. Regularly check the threaded joint for water seepage. Replace the sensor immediately if leakage occurs.
5. Use qualified coolant. Impurities and sediments attaching to the float will cause signal deviation or false alarm.
6. Do not pull or drag the wiring harness forcibly during installation and maintenance.
7. Do not modify or cut the original harness arbitrarily, otherwise the alarm function may fail.
