Installation Steps

1. Cut off the power supply of the whole vehicle, wait until the ATS system is fully cooled down, and confirm there is no residual high temperature on the installation position.

2. Remove the old temperature sensor from the threaded mounting hole, clean impurities, dirt and residual sealing material inside the mounting hole.

3. Align the threaded part of the new ATS temperature sensor with the mounting hole, screw it in manually first, and then use a suitable tool to tighten it properly. Do not use excessive force to prevent thread slipping or shell damage.

4. Connect the waterproof connector of the sensor to the vehicle matching plug, and press the connector tightly to ensure it is fully locked without looseness.

5. Arrange the wiring harness reasonably, fix the corrugated conduit to avoid friction with hard parts or high-temperature components of the vehicle.

6. Switch on the vehicle power supply, start the test, check whether the dashboard and controller can normally receive temperature signals, and confirm there is no leakage at the threaded installation position.

Notes

1. Installation must be carried out after power off and cooling, operation with high temperature or live electricity will cause scald or circuit short circuit.

2. It is forbidden to bend, cut or damage the sensor probe and wiring harness at will, which will lead to signal failure and product scrapping.

3. Do not use excessive torque when tightening the thread, excessive force will damage the brass thread and affect the sealing effect.

4. Check whether the connector is locked in place after wiring, loose plug will cause intermittent signal loss and system alarm.

5. Prevent the product from being impacted and dropped before installation, collision may damage the internal sensing element.

6. If the sensor fails to feed back temperature data normally after installation, check the connector, harness and mounting position in sequence, do not modify the internal structure of the sensor privately.

7. The sensor is a precision electronic component, it should be stored in a dry environment, avoid long-term exposure to humid and corrosive gas environment.
