Dysprosium Fluoride (DyF₃): Medical Scintillators, Laser Crystals, IR Fibers, Specialty Alloys

Dysprosium Fluoride is an inorganic compound with the molecular formula DyF3. It appears as a white powder with a density of 5.95 g/cm³, a melting point of 1360°C, and a boiling point >2200°C. It is insoluble in water and poorly soluble in hydrochloric, nitric, and sulfuric acids but dissolves in perchloric acid. Hygroscopic in air, it remains relatively stable.
