Product Overview

The Broadcom HCPL-2730/0730/2731/0731 are dual-channel optocouplers featuring separated GaAsP light-emitting diodes optically coupled to integrated high-gain photodetectors. These devices offer extremely high current transfer ratios (CTR) and excellent input-output common mode transient immunity. The separated pin for photodiodes and first gain stages (VCC) allows for lower output saturation voltage and higher speed operation compared to conventional photo-darlington optocouplers. They are available in an 8-pin DIP and an industry-standard SO-8 package, providing high-density packaging. These optocouplers are suitable for various applications including digital logic ground isolation, telephone ring detection, level shifting, EIA RS-232C line receivers, polarity sensing, low input current line receivers, microprocessor bus isolation, current loop receivers, and line voltage status indicators.
