Description

This heavyweight brown Butcher Paper (80 g/㎡) is built for industrial meat packing and large‑cut handling. With bursting strength ≥90%, stiffness 66 g·cm, and thickness up to 0.11 mm, it wraps whole primals, pork bellies, and cheese wheels without tearing. Neutral pH (7‑8) prevents flavor transfer. Fully food‑grade and compatible with automated wrapping machinery. Ideal for meat processing plants and wholesale distributors.

Process Introduction

High basis weight requires maximum long‑fiber retention. Kraft pulping of southern pine (2‑3mm fibers) at 170°C. Multiple washing stages achieve residual alkali <0.1%. Beating degree 30‑35°SR for high bonding strength. Double‑roll pressing raises dryness to 45%. Drying at 105‑115°C to 7‑9% moisture. Soft calendering creates smooth surface without sealing pores. Optional rosin sizing for water resistance. PAE wet strength agent added for wet tear resistance.
