75-80GHz WR-12 WAVEGUIDE ISOLATOR

  1. Identify the forward direction –
    A WAVEGUIDE ISOLATOR is marked with an arrow or label indicating the allowed transmission direction.

  2. Connect source to input port –
    Connect the signal source (e.g., magnetron, amplifier, or oscillator) to the input port of the WAVEGUIDE ISOLATOR.

  3. Connect load to output port –
    Connect the antenna, transmission line, or measurement device to the output port of the WAVEGUIDE ISOLATOR.

  4. **Never reverse a WAVEGUIDE ISOLATOR –
    A WAVEGUIDE ISOLATOR will severely attenuate (typically >20 dB) if connected in reverse; it must be installed in the correct orientation.

  5. Flange matching –
