The Brocade G820 is a Gen 8 (128G) enterprise FC switch delivering 7.168 Tb/s total bandwidth and 580 ns latency (128G local switching, dual FEC) in a compact 1U form factor. Scaling from 24 to 56 SFP+ ports via Dynamic‑POD (8‑port increments), it supports auto‑sensing speeds from 16G to 128G and features up to 32 encryption/compression ports (E_Port, EX_Port, XISL) with 256 Gb/s encryption bandwidth. With dual 650W hot‑swap redundant PSUs (fans integrated), support for 239 switches per fabric (4,000 certified nodes), and Fabric OS 10.0.0, the G820 is built for high‑performance enterprise SAN consolidation.
