Product Description

The Brocade 7850 Extension Switch is a 1U FCIP extension switch purpose‑built for long‑distance FC storage network connectivity across WANs. It features 24 equivalent FC ports (8 SFP+ + 8 SFP‑DD, auto‑sensing 8/16/32/64G) with 460ns latency, plus 16 x 1/10/25GbE ports and 2 x 100GbE ports (or 4 x 10GbE breakout). With AES‑256 hardware encryption at line rate (no performance loss), dual 650W hot‑swap redundant PSUs, 6 hot‑swap redundant fans, and up to 25 Gb/s per VE port, the 7850 is ideal for secure, high‑performance disaster recovery and remote replication.
