MN-S3-500 Schneider MicroNet VAV Sensor Setpoint Override LCD Display
The Schneider Electric MN-S3-500 (MicroNet series, formerly Barber-Colman) is a wall-mounted digital room temperature sensor combining a precision thermistor with a three-button interface and LCD display, providing occupants with local setpoint adjustment and override control for VAV HVAC zones. It communicates with MicroNet VAV box controllers via the S-Link proprietary bus — a two-wire power-and-data combined link that eliminates the need for a separate power supply at the sensor. The self-compensating temperature conversion algorithm eliminates field calibration, and the unit supports selectable degF/degC display. Ships without sensor cover; DCQC-150-SE available separately.

Applications
The MN-S3-500 is ideal for commercial offices, classrooms, and hotel rooms where occupants need the ability to adjust zone temperature and initiate temporary overrides without contacting facility management. In retrofit HVAC upgrades, it replaces legacy MN-S3 sensors while maintaining full compatibility with existing MicroNet controller wiring and programming. It is one of the most widely stocked and replaced MicroNet sensors in North America.
Note: Sensor cover not included — DCQC-150-SE available separately.
