This product is a PM1550nm Polarization Maintaining Fiber Patchcord, specifically designed for optical signal connection and extension in 1550nm C-band polarization-sensitive systems. The entire patchcord uses PM1550 panda-type polarization-maintaining fiber, with a standard configuration of FC/APC–FC/APC connectors, fiber length 100±5 cm, slow-axis operation, and key alignment with the slow-axis direction. Typical insertion loss ≤0.3 dB, return loss up to ≥55 dB, and extinction ratio ≥23 dB, making it suitable for communication, amplification, and experimental platforms with high requirements for polarization and power loss.

  At a working wavelength of 1550nm, the patch cord's insertion loss is no more than 0.3 dB, offering a significant advantage in system power budget and OSNR compared to ordinary fiber optic patch cords. It is suitable for medium- to long-distance transmission or complex links with multiple cascaded components.

• High Return Loss, Low End-Face Reflection

  With the FC/APC structure used in this model, the return loss is ≥55 dB, and even with a UPC end face, it can reach ≥50 dB. This effectively suppresses end-face reflections back to the laser, amplifier, or other sensitive devices, improving system stability and signal quality.

• High Extinction Ratio, Controllable Polarization

  At 23℃, the patch cord's extinction ratio is ≥23 dB, and it employs a Slow Axis design. The connector key is aligned with the slow axis, with an axial alignment error of ±3°. This ensures clear and uniform polarization direction within the system, significantly reducing polarization-dependent power fluctuations and measurement errors, making it ideal for polarization-sensitive coherent communication, interferometric measurement, and polarization-maintaining amplification systems.

The patch cord consists of a section of PM1550 panda-type polarization-maintaining fiber, covered with a 0.9 mm white loose tube. Each end is fitted with an FC/APC connector. The nominal length of the entire cable is 1000±50 mm. Its simple design facilitates cabling and mounting in cabinets and experimental platforms.
