Product Overview

Plano-convex Lenses are ideal for converging parallel light rays to a single point, and these lenses can be used for a variety of applications. They have positive focal lengths and near-optimal profiles for infinitely far and finitely far conjugate applications. Plano-convex lenses can converge a collimated beam at the rear focal point or turn a point source into a collimated beam.

GiAi lenses are usually made of K9 glass, which is coated to increase transmission in the 400-700 nm wavelength range. They are also manufactured using UV quartz, which has excellent transmittance in the UV region and a low coefficient of thermal expansion, and can be coated with a UVAR coat for use in special circumstances.
