The excimer lamp surface finishing machine uses a 172nm excimer lamp (VUV) to cure ultra-thin coatings, creating a soft-touch, velvet-like, or matte surface on various substrates, including:
Unlike conventional UV curing, excimer technology achieves 100% matt finish (gloss level as low as 0-5 GU) without using matting agents. The process produces a micro-shrinkage surface that scatters light, resulting in an elegant soft-skin feel, anti-fingerprint properties, and high scratch resistance.
This system operates under inert nitrogen atmosphere to prevent oxygen inhibition, ensuring consistent curing quality. The entire line can be customized for flat panel, roll-to-roll, or 3D-shaped substrates.
