Safety Helmet Impact Testing Machine
Product use
The Safety Helmet Impact Testing Machine is a precision laboratory instrument designed to evaluate the impact absorption and puncture resistance performance of safety helmets, in full compliance with global industry standards. It simulates real-world impact scenarios via free-fall weights, measuring the peak force/acceleration transmitted to the headform to determine if the helmet meets mandatory safety criteria for industrial, construction, and protective use. Widely adopted by helmet manufacturers, third-party testing labs, quality inspection authorities and R&D institutions.

Working Principle of Helmet Impact Testing Machine
The helmet, pre-adjusted for temperature and humidity, is mounted onto a standard head mold.
Set the drop height (usually 1 meter) and select the test mode (impact or puncture).
The machine automatically raises the weight to the set height, locks it, and then releases it for free fall.
At the moment of impact, dynamic sensors capture the peak force/acceleration within milliseconds; the software records and displays this data.
For puncture tests, if the cone contacts the head mold, an electrical contact indicator will sound an alarm, confirming penetration.

Main Structure and Components of the Safety Helmet Impact Testing Machine
Vertical Test Frame and Guide Rail: Rigid steel frame with precision linear guide rails to ensure the weight falls vertically without deflection; enclosed safety net/protective cover prevents debris from flying during testing. Head Mold: Standard head molds #1 and #2 aluminum-silicon alloy (compliant with GB/T 2812, ISO 3873 standards), mounted on a rigid base with a high-dynamic weighing sensor.
