Robust Construction & Chrome Rollers – PP Strapping Extrusion Line
Product Introduction
Haul-off rollers are among the components that have the most frequent contact with PP tape and suffer the greatest wear. All rollers in the haul-off units (low-speed three-roller, high-speed five-roller, high-speed three-roller) of this production line are made of high-quality alloy steel substrate, precision ground and then hard chrome-plated, achieving a final hardness of HRC58-60.
This hard chrome layer offers extremely high wear resistance, excellent corrosion resistance, and a very low coefficient of friction. It can withstand long-term abrasion from PP tape, keeping the roller surface smooth as new, thereby ensuring stable traction force, preventing product scratching, and significantly extending roller service life, dramatically reducing maintenance frequency and spare parts costs.

Customer Q&A
Q: How high is HRC58-60 hardness? How much more durable than ordinary stainless steel rollers?
A: Ordinary stainless steel rollers have a hardness of about HRC20-30. HRC58-60 is equivalent to hardened tool steel, providing several to ten times greater wear resistance than stainless steel. Under normal PP production conditions, chrome-plated rollers can last 5-10 years.
Q: Can the chrome plating peel off?
A: With high-quality plating process, the adhesion is strong and it will not peel off under normal use. However, impact from sharp hard objects should be avoided. Minor scratches do not affect function; deep scratches require factory repair.
Q: Do chrome-plated rollers require special maintenance?
A: No. Daily wiping with a soft cloth to remove oil and hard particles is sufficient. The low friction coefficient and smooth surface inherently resist adhesion of foreign matter.
