What is Casting Fittings?
Stainless steel cast fittings are economical connecting components specifically designed for medium and low-pressure piping systems. We produce them using precision casting (sol-gel) technology, which involves creating a wax mold, wrapping it with a ceramic shell, and finally pouring molten stainless steel into it to form the final product. This process enables the manufacture of products with relatively precise dimensions and good surface finish at a lower cost, making them ideal for general threaded connection applications that do not require special pressure ratings or certifications.

Pressure Rating of Casting Fitting
Class 150, also commonly labeled as 150#, is the standard pressure rating for this series of stainless steel cast fittings. This rating is specifically designed for low-pressure applications, such as in water, air, oil, gas, and drainage systems, where the working pressure is typically at a medium to low level. The Class 150 pound class provides a safe and reliable performance standard for general industrial and commercial piping, offering a highly cost-effective solution for non-critical pipelines.

BSP threaded connection
This pipe fitting adopts BSP (British Standard Pipe Thread), which is a commonly used thread standard in Europe, Commonwealth countries, and many other regions worldwide. The thread angle of BSP threads is 55°, and they are divided into two types: BSPT is a tapered thread that relies on the thread itself to form a seal, while BSPP is a parallel thread that requires a washer or O-ring for sealing. BSP threads provide a highly compatible connection method for international water supply and drainage and pipeline projects.

CF8M/316 Material Properties
The use of CF8M/316 stainless steel provides excellent corrosion resistance for the drainage system. Compared to the common 304 material, 316, with the addition of molybdenum, is more effective in resisting the erosion of chlorides and various chemicals commonly found in industrial wastewater and domestic sewage. This ensures that the pipe fittings are less prone to rusting and corrosion perforation, thereby significantly extending the service life of the entire drainage network and reducing the risk and cost of subsequent maintenance.

SMLSCO Casting Fitting Manufacturing Process
SMSCO cast pipe fittings are produced using precision casting (sol silicate) technology to achieve excellent dimensional accuracy and surface finish. This process begins with the creation of a wax mold, which is then coated with multiple layers of refractory material to form a ceramic shell. The shell is then heated, causing the wax to melt and flow out. Next, molten stainless steel is poured into the hollow shell. After the steel cools and solidifies, the shell is broken away, revealing a high-precision pipe fitting blank. This blank is then machined, tapped, and other processes to produce the final product.
