MN-S1-500 Schneider MicroNet VAV Room Temperature Sensor No Cover
The Schneider Electric MN-S1-500 is a wall-mounted digital room temperature sensor engineered for Variable Air Volume (VAV) HVAC zone monitoring in commercial and light industrial buildings. As a sensor-only device with no occupant-accessible controls or display, it delivers continuous, accurate zone temperature data to connected MicroNet VAV box controllers via the proprietary S-Link communication bus — a power-and-data combined link that eliminates the need for a separate power supply. The unit ships without a sensor cover; the DCQC-150-SE snap-on cover is available separately.

Applications
The MN-S1-500 is deployed in environments where occupant access to setpoint controls must be restricted. Key applications include:
- Multi-tenant commercial buildings for maintaining energy-efficient HVAC schedules without risk of unauthorized adjustment
- Server rooms and IT closets to protect sensitive equipment from thermal excursions
- Corridor and lobby installations benefiting from no-display, no-button simplicity
- Retrofit projects replacing aging MicroNet sensors, providing cost-effective upgrades with full S-Link bus compatibility
