Material Introduction

This P80 plasma electrode and nozzle is a core consumable part for air plasma cutting torch. The electrode adopts high-purity hafnium wire as the discharge core, which features excellent high temperature resistance, stable arc performance and long service life. The nozzle body is made of chromium zirconium copper with nickel plating treatment, which has great electrical conductivity, anti-oxidation and anti-spatter performance, not easy to deform under continuous high temperature working conditions.

It is widely used for cutting carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, iron and other metal sheets. It is suitable for manual plasma cutting and CNC plasma cutting work, common in metal fabrication, auto repair, scrap metal processing, engineering workshop and metal sculpture processing.

Operation Guide

1. Confirm the plasma cutter model matches P80 torch before installation, check the air pressure of cutting machine is kept at 0.4–0.55 MPa.
2. Install the electrode and nozzle correctly, keep the assembly tight without loose, ensure good contact.
3. Keep the cutting air clean and dry. Moisture and oil in compressed air will shorten the service life of hafnium wire and cause unstable arc.
4. Select proper nozzle aperture according to metal plate thickness and cutting current.
5. Do not strike arc repeatedly for a long time without cutting, which will accelerate burning loss of the hafnium core.
6. When the cutting arc becomes unstable or cutting surface is rough, replace the electrode and nozzle in time.

Notes

• Keep the inner passage of the nozzle clean, metal slag blockage will affect cutting effect.
• Store in dry environment, avoid moisture and corrosion.
• This is wearing consumable part, regular replacement is required in daily cutting work.
