Tackifying Resin SR801 Technical Introduction
Product Characteristics Description
SR801 is a non-thermally reactive thermoplastic octylphenol resin with excellent tackifying properties. It can be used in any composite rubber product requiring high-viscosity bonding. It provides excellent molding and bonding effects. It has excellent compatibility with various synthetic rubbers and oils, making it particularly suitable for tire ply lamination and other laminated rubber products requiring high tackiness. This product is in granular form, is not prone to dusting, dissolves easily in solvents, and mixes easily into rubber compounds without polluting the workplace or equipment.
Application Areas
SR801 is widely used in various synthetic and natural rubbers, especially synthetic rubber. For example, in tire components with a high proportion of synthetic rubber, it must provide stable bonding to the tire carcass during molding, preventing separation and the formation of interlayer bubbles. This product is also suitable for the production of various conveyor belts, V-belts, hoses, rubber sheets, wires and cables, retreading rubber compounds, and other rubber products.
Usage
It is recommended to add SR801 during the masterbatch mixing stage to ensure sufficient dispersion in the rubber compound and to exert its softening or plasticizing effect.
The recommended dosage of SR801 is 2-8 parts per 100 parts by weight of rubber.
