Application:

The 2486A242 oil cooler is engineered for Perkins 1103A-33T, 1103C-33T, 1103C-33TA and 1103D-33T three-cylinder turbocharged diesels (3.3 L) and is also fully compatible with the Perkins 1004-4, 1004-40, 1004-42 and 1006-6 four- and six-cylinder engines used in compact agricultural tractors, tele-handlers, 40–60 kVA generator sets and light industrial sweepers. In these applications it maintains stable oil viscosity during continuous load or high ambient temperatures, thereby protecting crankshaft bearings, hydraulic pumps and turbochargers.

Technical specifications:

The cooler is a plate-fin, brazed-aluminium heat exchanger measuring 230 mm overall length, 190 mm width and 45 mm depth with a net weight of 3.7 kg. It houses 0.7 L of internal oil volume and is rated for 13 kW heat rejection at 90 °C oil-in temperature and 40 °C coolant delta-T, keeping oil outlet temperature below 95 °C under full load.


Material & performance features:

The core is constructed from 3003 high-silicon aluminium fins and 6061-T6 seamless tubes, furnace-brazed at 600 °C for joint strength exceeding parent metal and vibration fatigue resistance beyond 5 million cycles.
