IAI PCON-PO-35PI-NP-2-0 is a single-axis pulse-train position controller for a matching IAI RoboCylinder electric actuator. The PCON-PO configuration accepts open-collector pulse commands from a PLC, motion controller or other compatible upper-level control device. It is primarily used for maintaining existing machines that require the original pulse command format and controller configuration.

Compatible System and Applications

The controller can be used in assembly stations, indexing mechanisms, transfer devices, packaging machines, testing systems and production fixtures where the upper-level controller generates open-collector pulse commands. Motion distance and speed depend on the command pulse settings, controller parameters and the connected actuator configuration.

Maintenance and Replacement Notes

PCON-PO and PCON-PL controllers use different pulse-input electrical formats. PCON-PO is intended for open-collector pulse input, while PCON-PL is associated with differential line-driver pulse input. They must not be substituted without checking the PLC output circuit and machine wiring. Confirm the complete model, connected actuator, 35P motor configuration, encoder type, NPN logic, pulse format, cable arrangement and stored parameters before replacement.
