IAI PCON-PL-42PI-NP-2-0 is a one-axis pulse-train controller for an IAI 42P incremental actuator. The PL designation means that the position command is received through a differential line-driver input. This differentiates it from PCON-PO models, which use an open-collector pulse input.
The controller is intended for machinery in which an external PLC or motion module generates the motion command. The NP and 2-0 codes identify NPN sink I/O, a 2 m I/O cable specification, and 24 VDC supply.
| Model | PCON-PL-42PI-NP-2-0 |
| Command Type | Differential line-driver pulse train |
| Maximum Input Frequency | 200 kpps |
| Controlled Axes | 1 |
| Actuator Code | 42P incremental |
| I/O | NP, NPN sink |
| Power Supply | 24 VDC +10% / -10% |
| Dimensions / Weight | 35 x 120 x 68 mm / 128 g or less |
This model is suited to legacy indexing, assembly, inspection, transfer, and packaging axes that use differential pulse commands and a matching 42P IAI actuator. The host controller must provide the correct pulse format and electrical interface.
PCON-PL and PCON-PO are not wiring-equivalent because their pulse-input circuits and cable-length limits differ. Verify the host pulse output, 42PI actuator code, NPN wiring, electronic-gear parameters, motor and encoder cables, brake option, and emergency-stop circuit. IAI discontinued PCON-PL/PO with an order cutoff of 23 June 2023 and lists PCON-CB as the successor, but mounting, parameters, I/O assignments, wiring, teaching tools, and controller-side cables differ.
PCON-PLB-42PWAI-NP-2-0 is a related later-generation family variant. Its controller generation and actuator code are different, so it should not be represented as directly interchangeable with PCON-PL-42PI-NP-2-0.
Provide both nameplates, host pulse-output details, cable numbers, machine application, parameter backup, and required quantity. Confirm condition, included cables, and test status before purchase.
