Ceteareth 25 is a widely used functional auxiliary agent with versatile applications across multiple industries. In the dyeing and printing industry, it serves as a leveling agent, dispersant, and stripping agent for various dyes, with a typical dosage of 0.2~1g/L. It enhances color fastness, ensures bright and uniform color development on fabrics, removes dye buildup, improves synthetic detergent detergency, and reduces fabric static electricity.
In metal processing, it functions as an effective cleaning agent for removing surface oil stains and can be used as a solubilizer and brightener. The glass fiber industry utilizes it as an emulsifier to create uniform lubricating oil emulsions, reducing fiber breakage rates and preventing fuzzing.
General industrial applications include O/W emulsification with excellent results on animal, vegetable, and mineral oils, making it suitable for synthetic fiber oils, latex, oil drilling fluids, and polymer emulsion polymerization. Agricultural uses involve serving as a seed soaking penetrant to enhance pesticide penetration and improve seed germination rates.
