Product Description

C12-14 Alcohol Ethoxylate 7EO / Laureth-7 is a nonionic surfactant belonging to the fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether class, with the general formula RO-(CH₂CH₂O)₇H. It typically appears as a milky white paste or light yellow liquid, is readily soluble in water, and possesses excellent wetting, foaming, detergency, emulsifying, degreasing, and hard water resistance properties.

This substance is highly irritating to the eyes, harmful if ingested, and toxic to aquatic organisms.

Applications
  1. In the wool textile industry, used as a wool cleaning agent and degreasing agent, and as a fabric cleaning agent. It can be an important component of liquid detergents for formulation of household and industrial detergents.
  2. Used in the detergent industry for hand soap, laundry detergent, and shower gel; in the textile printing and dyeing industry as a leveling agent; in the paper industry as a deinking agent and blanket cleaning agent; and widely used in the cosmetics, pesticide, pharmaceutical, rubber, and construction industries as an emulsifier, dispersant, or wetting agent.
  3. AEO-7 can be used to prepare AEO-7 phthalocyanine iron catalysts for the degradation of tetracycline, or to prepare modified PbO2 electrodes for the electrocatalytic degradation of crystal violet.
