At its core, the 125DS retains the same backlash-free cam-and-roller architecture as our standalone indexers. The precision-ground globoidal cam and hardened needle rollers deliver smooth intermittent motion with a positive mechanical lock at every dwell, so your dial plate stays rigidly positioned without auxiliary brakes or electronic holding torque.
The integrated motor drives the input shaft, which rotates the globoidal cam. As the cam turns, its rib profile pushes the output turret through one index, then the dwell section of the profile seats against the rollers to lock the turret in place. This mechanical indexing cycle repeats continuously, converting constant motor speed into precise stop-and-go rotary motion.
