Thermal lamination film is produced by multi-extrusion coating lines and consists of two layers: a plastic film (primarily BOPP or PET) and an adhesive glue layer (EVA). Also known as dry, hot, or heat lamination film.
BOPP Thermal Lamination Film is used in printing houses for commercial and school printing, graphic arts large format applications. The transparent film lamination (glossy or matte) is heated as protection on paper covers. Specific applications include:
The lamination process joins two or more layers to protect prints. A hot laminator (thermal lamination roller machine) is used to melt the EVA adhesive onto paper surfaces. The film passes over a heated roller and sticks to the paper under reasonable pressure. This easy process can be done at home for small applications.
