Gloss laminating film is classified by composition into thermal/hot/dry gloss laminating film and cold/wet gloss laminating film. It can also be classified by base material: BOPP gloss laminating film and PET gloss laminating film.
High gloss laminating film imparts an excellent glossy finish to substrates after lamination. It protects substrates from water and moisture while enhancing touch experience. Commonly used for brochures, magazines, flyers, and promotional materials.
Gloss laminating film is produced by multi extrusion coating lines and consists of two layers: plastic film (primarily BOPP or PET) and adhesive glue (EVA). Also known as dry, hot, or heat laminating film.
Printing houses use BOPP gloss laminating film rolls for commercial and school printing, as well as graphic arts large format applications. The transparent film lamination (bright/shine/glossy or matte/dull) is heated as protection on paper covers. Sometimes referred to as paper lamination film using heated EVA adhesive glue on paper substrates.
