API Premium Fig 607 Hammer Union for Reliable Welding Solutions

Hammer union

A hammer union (also known as WECO union) is a heavy-duty, high-ressure quickc-onnect fitting for piping systems. It consists of three core parts: male sub, female sub, and a threaded hammer nut with lugs. Designed for rapid assembly/disassembly with a sledgehammer, it delivers reliable, leak-tight connections in harsh industrial environments.

Hammer Unions can be used for cementing trucks, oil field applications, for quick connection on tank trucks and rail cars carrying of LPG, LNG, CNG, etc., all kinds of manifolds and other high pressure equipment and pipes. Hammer Unions have good mechanical performance and sealing property. Especially, they can operate under the bad weather condition. They can be assembled, fixed and
changed easily and conveniently. They are very easy to use as they are self-aligning, and do not require any special tools. It takes some seconds as compared to several minutes required with flanged connection. Hence in case of railway wagon loading, where large numbers of connections are to be made in each loading operation.

The assembly features compact construction. It is widely used for low‑pressure dead‑end lines, and is also suitable for air, water, oil or gasoline services under medium‑pressure conditions. Pipe thread and butt (SCH) connections are available.

607, 6000 PSI NSCWP, test pressure 9000 PSI, sky‑blue nut, black components, equipped with elastic NBR sealing rings.
