Product use

The falling ball impact tester is used to test the strength of materials such as plastics, ceramics, acrylics, glass fibers, and coatings. This equipment conforms to JIS-K6745 and A5430 testing standards. The machine uses a steel ball of a specified weight, adjusted to a certain height, which is then allowed to fall freely and impact the sample. Ball drop test

The Ball Drop Test is a standard reliability test used to evaluate the impact resistance, structural strength and anti-drop performance of products, components, toys, electronics and materials.
A steel ball or specified test ball of a certain weight is dropped from a pre-set height onto the sample surface under controlled conditions. After the impact, the sample is inspected for cracks, deformation, breakage, functional failure or surface damage.
This test can effectively verify product safety, durability and compliance with relevant quality standards, providing reliable data for product improvement and quality control.

Drop ball test standard

Prepare specimens according to standards and fix them in a dedicated fixture, ensuring the impact surface is horizontal and stress-free.
Calibrate the equipment: Set the steel ball mass and drop height to ensure vertical release and zero initial velocity.
Impact the specimens with the steel ball during free fall, 1–5 times per specimen (according to standards).
Post-impact inspection: Check for cracks, breakage, deformation, functional failure, coating peeling, etc.
Determine according to standards: Pass/Fail, or calculate the 50% probability of failure/critical impact energy.
