Key Features
SA516 Grade 70 hot rolled steel plate excels in lower than ambient temperature applications with excellent notch toughness. Ideal for pressure vessels and industrial boilers, this material is typically supplied in As Rolled condition. For enhanced properties and toughness, normalizing is recommended for plates exceeding 40mm thickness. Also available with NACE MR-0175 compliance including HIC and SSC testing.

Primarily used in pressure vessel container fabrication, SA516 Grade 70 belongs to the boiler and pressure vessel steel category, suitable for moderate to low temperature service conditions.
