GB 65Mn Steel is a high-quality alloy spring steel belonging to the high carbon alloy spring steel category. Its quenched & tempered hardness is 28-34 HRC, and under annealing delivery, hardness is less than 250HB.

We supply 65Mn Spring Steel in various forms including round bar, flat bar, plate, hexagonal bar, and square block. Custom cutting services are available for required lengths and sizes.

Slowly heat to 730°C and allow sufficient time for thorough heating, then cool slowly in the furnace. Resulting hardness: maximum 250 HB.

Heat uniformly to 830-860°C (1526-1580°F) until completely heated through. Provide approximately 30 minutes per 25mm of ruling section, then immediately quench in oil.

Perform tempering at 540°C. Soak well at the selected temperature for at least one hour per 25mm of total thickness.

65Mn steel, after heat treatment and cold drawing hardening, offers high strength with good toughness and plasticity. It features excellent fatigue limits and is mainly used for smaller size springs including speed regulating springs, load springs, round and square spiral springs in general machinery, and pull wires for small mechanical springs.
