Product Overview
The Korean Standard link chain is a general-purpose welded round-link chain supplied in short-link and long-link patterns for industrial, marine, agricultural and fishing-related applications. Each closed link is formed from round steel and flash-butt welded. Selection is based on nominal size, actual material diameter, inside link length, inside width, supplied piece length, finish and the intended operating environment.
The supplied range covers nominal sizes 3–19 mm, standard piece lengths of 10, 15 or 30 m and approximate piece weights of 4.50–78.28 kg. “Korean Standard” is treated on this page as a commercial dimensional series because no specific KS standard number, chain grade or certified mechanical performance has been provided. The chain must not be specified for lifting, hoisting, personnel suspension, towing, mooring or load securing unless a separately approved chain grade, working load limit, proof test and minimum breaking force are confirmed in writing.

Short Link vs Long Link Selection
Selection & Inquiry Guide
Step 1: Confirm short-link or long-link geometry and select the exact nominal size, material diameter, inside length and inside width from the table.
Step 2: State the application: general connection, barrier, hanging, drag, conveyor auxiliary, fishing / net equipment, agricultural use or marine utility service.
Step 3: Confirm whether the chain is non-load-rated or requires documented WLL, proof load, minimum breaking force, chain grade, heat treatment or fatigue performance.
Step 4: Specify material grade and corrosion environment. Confirm carbon steel or stainless steel, electro-galvanizing requirement, coating thickness and any saltwater exposure.
Step 5: Confirm supplied length, number of pieces, cut-length tolerance, end-link arrangement, joining accessories and packing method such as coil, bundle, reel, drum or pallet.
Step 6: State inspection and documentation scope, quantity, destination and required delivery time. Provide a drawing, sample or mating-part dimensions when interchangeability is critical.

Inspection, Testing & Documentation
Dimensional inspection, visual weld inspection, supplied-length and weight verification, coating inspection, material certificates and third-party inspection can be arranged according to the order scope. Proof-load, breaking-force, fatigue or lifting-chain tests require an agreed chain grade and acceptance standard. SGS inspection, KS certification, WLL marking or class certification is not included by default and must be confirmed before quotation.

Q1: Is this Korean Standard link chain suitable for lifting or towing?
A1: Not on the basis of the supplied dimensional table. No chain grade, WLL, proof load or minimum breaking force has been provided. Lifting, towing, mooring and load-securing use requires a separately approved specification and test documentation.
Q2: What is the practical difference between short link and long link chain?
A2: Short link chain has a more compact pitch and closer link spacing. Long link chain provides a larger internal opening and can simplify attachment to hooks, pins or fittings. The mating component dimensions and movement path should be checked before selection.
Q3: What information is required for quotation?
A3: Confirm link type, nominal size, actual material diameter, inside dimensions, material grade, finish and coating thickness, supplied length, quantity, application, required load rating or tests, inspection documents, packing, destination and delivery time.
