56mm Two-Handle Steel Wire Rope Reel with Brake | Large-Diameter Wire Rope Storage on Ship Deck
Product Overview
Type C two-handle steel wire rope reel is designed for storage and manual handling of large-diameter marine steel wire ropes on ship deck.
The C56 model is suitable for 56 mm steel wire rope with 300 m drum storage capacity. It is a storage reel, not a lifting or pulling winch.
Two handles allow two crew members to operate at the same time, improving control and reducing manual effort during winding and unwinding.
The reel uses a strong fabricated structure, bolted base, brake device and gear-driven operation to ensure stable storage, convenient installation and safe onboard use.
The gear system uses forged steel components, with ground and hardness-improved gear ring surfaces for smoother operation and better wear resistance. Weight-reduction holes reduce product weight without affecting structural strength.

Inquiry Guide
Please provide wire rope diameter, rope length, required model, brake requirement, base fixing arrangement, material, coating system and certification requirement.
Not sure about the correct reel size? Send the rope diameter and length, and we will recommend a suitable reel configuration.
How It Works
The steel wire rope is wound onto the drum. Two handles drive the reel manually through the gear system, allowing controlled rotation. The brake holds the reel in position when the rope is stored or when the reel is not in operation.
Applications
Ship deck wire rope storage | Mooring wire storage | Marine deck equipment | Shipyard and onboard rope handling
Certifications & Advantages
Certification: CCS, NK, BV, ABS, DNV, LR, KR, IRS, RS, RINA, CRS, Makers Test Certificate. Advantages include two-person operation, brake locking, forged steel gear, lightweight gear-ring design, bolted base installation and customizable materials.

FAQ
Q1: Is this reel used for lifting or pulling?
A: No. This product is designed for steel wire rope storage, not for lifting, towing or pulling operations.
Q2: Why does Type C use two handles?
A: The two-handle design allows two crew members to operate together, which reduces manual effort and improves control when handling large-diameter steel wire rope.
Q3: Why is a brake needed on a storage reel?
A: The brake prevents unwanted drum rotation and keeps the rope stable during storage, transportation or standby condition.
Q4: Why use forged steel gears and hardened gear ring?
A: Forged gears and hardened, ground gear ring surfaces improve transmission strength, rotation smoothness and wear resistance.
Q5: Can the reel size be customized?
A: Yes. Drum size, base arrangement, brake, coating and material can be customized according to rope diameter, storage length and ship deck layout.
