Description
What is ultrasonic used for? Ultrasonic sensors operate on the principle of echolocation—similar to how bats navigate. The sensor’s transducer emits an ultrasonic pulse, which travels through the air and reflects off any object in its path. The returning echo is then detected by the sensor, and the time delay is used to calculate the exact distance between the sensor and the object. This contactless sensing method makes ultrasonic sensors ideal for use in environments where physical touch is not feasible.
