To ensure the optimal performance and longevity of the BW30 PRO-400 Reverse Osmosis Membranes, follow these guidelines:
Moisture Maintenance: Keep elements moist after initial wetting.
System Operation: Follow the FilmTec™ Reverse Osmosis / Nanofiltration Elements Operation Excellence guidelines for successful RO system operation.
Biological Growth Prevention: During prolonged shutdowns, immerse membranes in a preservative solution.
Handling and Compatibility: The customer is fully responsible for the effects of incompatible chemicals and lubricants on the membranes.
Avoid static permeate-side backpressure during operation.
Permeate from the first hour should be discarded.
Effective cyst and pathogen removal depend on system design and maintenance practices.
Refer to the FilmTec™ Reverse Osmosis Membranes Technical Manual for detailed system operation, plant start-up sequence, and troubleshooting.
