KetaSpire® PEEK (polyetheretherketone) offers the best combination of fatigue resistance and chemical resistance. PEEK chemical resistance is similar to that of PPS (polyphenylene sulfide), but PEEK can operate at higher temperatures and retains its excellent mechanical properties at continuous-use temperatures up to 240°C (464°F), allowing it to replace metal in severe end-use environments.

PEEK KetaSpire KT-880 GF15 is a high flow, 15% glass-fiber reinforced grade of polyetheretherketone (PEEK). This resin offers higher strength and stiffness properties relative to unreinforced KetaSpire® PEEK resin.

The glass fiber content is optimized to provide a balance of strength and stiffness with toughness-related properties, such as impact resistance and elongation at break. The low fiberglass loading gives the resin improved surface aesthetics and reduced anisotropy over comparable 30% glass reinforced formulations.

KetaSpire® PEEK is well-suited for applications in many areas, including additive manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, healthcare, oil & gas, and semiconductor industries. These properties also make it ideal for electronics, chemical processing and other industrial uses.

Not all commercial PEEK products deliver the same level of performance. KetaSpire® PEEK offers distinct performance advantages due to Solvay's newer polymer production technology. Depending on the grade, KetaSpire® PEEK offers up to 20% higher impact strength, up to 60% higher ductility and better fatigue resistance. KetaSpire® PEEK also offers higher purity and brighter natural-colored compounds.
