The working principle of the plasma cutting filter cartridge dust collector
The plasma cutting filter cartridge dust collector is an efficient dry purification device specially designed for plasma cutting of high-temperature and high-concentration metal smoke. Its core components are negative pressure capture + filter cartridge filtration + pulse cleaning. It can ensure stable and compliant emissions.
1. Working principle of the plasma cutting filter cartridge dust collector (complete process)
1. Dust capture (negative pressure suction) • The fan creates negative pressure inside the dust collector. Through the suction hood / air duct / mobile suction trolley under the cutting table, the high-temperature metal smoke (containing iron oxide, manganese, zinc, etc.) generated by the cutting process is quickly sucked into the equipment. • Large particles of dust fall directly into the ash bin / dust collection drawer due to gravity, achieving preliminary separation.
2. Filter cartridge filtration (core purification) • The dusty airflow enters the middle box and passes through pleated filter cartridges (polyester coated / PTFE material, with a temperature resistance of ≤ 120°C). • Fine dust is intercepted by the filter cartridge surface, and clean air passes through the filter cartridge and enters the upper box, then is discharged into the atmosphere through the fan. • Filter efficiency: For dust particles larger than 0.3 μm, it can reach 99.9% +, and the emission concentration is ≤ 5 mg/m³. 3. Pulse cleaning (automatic regeneration) • As dust accumulates, the resistance of the filter cartridge increases. When the pressure difference reaches 1400–1600 Pa (or at a set time), the control system triggers the pulse valve. • Compressed air (0.4–0.6 MPa) is sprayed into the filter cartridge instantly, causing the filter cartridge to shake violently, and the dust falls into the ash bin. • After cleaning, the pressure difference returns to normal, and the equipment continues to operate efficiently.
4. Dust collection and discharge • The dust in the ash bin is discharged through a screw conveyor / ash discharge valve, or directly cleaned from the dust collection drawer.
