3.Working Principle Calcination Rotary Kiln

• Preheating Phase: Limestone enters the vertical preheater, utilizing high-temperature exhaust gases from the kiln tail (950–1150°C) to preheat the material to over 800°C. This initiates the partial decomposition of calcium carbonate (CaCO3), shortening the subsequent calcination time.

• Calcination Phase: Preheated materials enter the rotary kiln. At high temperatures of 1100–1350°C, the limestone fully decomposes into calcium oxide and carbon dioxide (CO2). The rotation of the kiln body ensures uniform heat distribution.

• Cooling Phase: The clinker passes through a vertical cooler for rapid cooling. The sensible heat from the lime is used to preheat the secondary air, further increasing overall thermal efficiency.

• Movement Mechanism: The inclined installation and rotation allow for a continuous, tumbling material bed, creating a dynamic heat exchange interface.
