Rotary Log Washer

1.Product Introduction

The Rotary Log Washer (also referred to as a Trough-type or Spiral Stone Washer) is a continuous-operation washing system specifically engineered for ores with high mud content and high susceptibility to sliming. Characterized by its robust construction and high throughput capacity, its spiral blades (paddles) are manufactured from premium wear-resistant materials—such as high-manganese steel—to ensure long-term, stable operation.

2.Application

This equipment is widely utilized in the washing and processing of mineral resources including bauxite, barite, sand and gravel, and iron ore. It is particularly effective for raw materials with high clay content and high plasticity, successfully removing clay and fines to prevent clogging in downstream crushing and screening equipment.

3.Working Principle

• Feeding: Ore and water enter the trough from the lower end.

• Agitation: The rotating spiral shafts propel the material forward while providing continuous agitation and friction, which effectively breaks down mud balls.

• Counter-current Washing: Wash water is injected from the upper end in a counter-current flow. Soluble impurities are dissolved and carried away by the overflow, while the cleaned ore is discharged from the high end, completing the washing and separation process.
