1.Product Introduction

A Customized Spiral Classifier is a high-efficiency solid-liquid separation device based on the principle of spiral blade rotation. Specifically designed for the mining industry, it can be personalized in terms of dimensions, materials, driving methods, and automation levels according to the customer's specific ore type, processing capacity, and technical requirements. Its core structure includes spiral blades, a U-shaped tank, a transmission device, and a lifting mechanism. It is widely used for grading, de-sliming, and dewatering operations in both metallic and non-metallic mining.

2.Application

• Metallic Mineral Processing: Used for the grading operations of ores such as gold, silver, copper, lead, zinc, iron, nickel, manganese, molybdenum, and tin. It is frequently paired with ball mills to form a closed-circuit grinding system.

• Non-Metallic Mineral Processing: Suitable for particle size control and cleaning of minerals like quartz, feldspar, calcite, graphite, fluorite, and barite.

• Sand & Construction Industry: Used for washing, dewatering, and fine powder recovery of manufactured sand to improve sand quality.

• Tailings Treatment: Achieves concentration and dry discharge of tailings slurry, reducing environmental pollution.

3.Working Principle

The spiral classifier operates on the principle that solid particles have different settling velocities in a liquid. The slurry enters the middle of the tank, and the spiral blades rotate at a low speed to stir and transport the material:

• Fine Particles: Due to their slower settling speed, they remain suspended in the upper layer of the liquid and are discharged through the overflow weir.
• Coarse Particles: Due to their faster settling speed, they sink to the bottom of the tank and are pushed by the spiral blades to the sand return port, where they are sent back to the mill for regrinding.

Depending on the height of the overflow liquid level, these are categorized into High-Weir Type (suitable for coarse grading between 0.15–0.83mm) and Submerged Type (suitable for fine grading <0.15mm).
