NE40E-X3/X8/X16 belongs to the NetEngine 40E series and is a high-end multi service router designed for carrier core/aggregation, large enterprise backbone, and data center interconnection. It focuses on high-density, high bandwidth, low latency, and strong reliability

All adopt a distributed forwarding+centralized switching architecture, supporting seamless upgrades, hot patching, and hot plugging of NSF/ISSU/ISSU+NSF.
