Primer of Metal and Epoxy

Mainly apply to peroxide vulcanized silicone rubber, addition type silicone rubber or fluorinated silicone rubber paste to metal( such as carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, galvanized parts, electroless nickel parts), nylon, bakelite, epoxy resin and other rigid base material.

Features:

1. It can be glued well for most of the silicone rubber, including once vulcanization and second vulcanization of silicone material.

2. One component,single coating, simple process.

3. It can be worked at a severe rugged environment and resisted with water,salty,chemicals, oil, and solvent.

Physical Properties:

Method of Application:

1. Surface treatment: Base material surface shall be clean, dust removing, oil removing, degreasing. After degreasing, the metal surface can make mechanical processing (sand blast) , or chemical processing to remove the oil, rust or other oxide layer. The effect will be much better. The surface treatment must be completed within 2 hours after coating. The surface of fiber

or plastic need to clean with solvent.

2. Gluing: Brush painting/coating or dipping the glue evenly on the surface for the raw material(It would better if thickness of glue between 5～15μm). after coating,make fully infiltrates between the rubber cover and the substrate surface (namely infiltrate substrate surface with adhesive solution for 1 ~ 3 minutes ,then drying process, make solvent evaporate, the effect would be better).

3. Drying condition: Dry at room temperature over 60 hours.(without baking), or baking at 90℃ for 5~15 minutes.

4. Temporary Storage:All the products which coated should be use within 24 hours, If the stored place away from pollution and high temperature or wet air, they can be stored within 2 days

5. Vulcanizing: The time of once vulcanizing is depend on the conditions of vulcanization. The temperature of second vulcanizing should close to the temperature of once vulcanization. And then gradually raise the temperature, and the highest temperature of second vulcanization should be below 200℃.

Testing Data:

1. Testing data in accordance with ASTM D429-B(silicone glue to Stainless 45#/ hot dip galvanized parts/ copper/ aluminum alloy)

2. Testing data in silicone rubber glue to epoxy resin core rod.

Notes:

1. To be kept at cool and dry place, far away from the heat and open flame.

2. It is volatile liquid. Please close container tightly after it is done.

3. The workplace should be ventilated and avoided fire. Prevent breathing or contacting with the skin for a long time

4. Lightly cloudy won't affect the performance.
