The HZGQ-S High Voltage Underground Cable Fault Locator is a bridge burn-through instrument designed to emit a DC constant-current voltage. By forming a localized point heat source within insulation defects, it alters the insulation condition to reach the ideal test state. Extensive field practice has proven this method highly effective for solving joint failures and other difficult-to-locate faults.

The instrument is primarily used for burn-through of high-voltage cable insulation defects and high-resistance leakage faults, significantly reducing insulation resistance so that fault test conditions are met (high-voltage pulse application enables full discharge). It can also serve as a DC high-voltage power supply for DC withstand voltage testing of cables, capacitors, motors, bushings, and similar equipment. This makes it especially suitable for power cables requiring high-resistance burn-through at the fault point.

1. Used for burn-through of insulation defective points and high-resistance leakage fault points in 10KV and above high-voltage cables, greatly reducing insulation resistance to meet fault test requirements. It can also be used for DC withstand voltage testing of 10KV and below high-voltage electrical equipment.
2. Adopts high-voltage power electronic technology. The burn-through current rises sharply, enabling it to burn through cable insulation defects and high-resistance leakage fault points in a short time, with automatic shutdown upon burn-through completion.
3. Internally adopts high-precision digital detection and control technology, with real-time acquisition and display of high-voltage and current values. It achieves triple limitation of maximum voltage, maximum current, and limit power, and includes multiple safety protection functions such as high-temperature automatic alarm.
4. Uses a large color LCD as the information terminal, clearly and elegantly displaying the real-time change curve of voltage and current during the burn-through process, truly reflecting the entire process. It enables man-machine dialogue with English prompts, accurately reflecting the current working state of the burn-through device.
