The HZ-580 Live Cable Identifier — also referred to as a cable identifier, multifunctional cable identifier, or intelligent cable identifier — is engineered to solve cable identification challenges for electrical cable engineers and technicians. Users can accurately pinpoint a specific target cable among multiple cables, preventing accidental cutting of live cables and avoiding serious accidents.

Cable identification begins with operations at both ends of the cable, ensuring accurate dual labeling at both ends. This instrument utilizes PSK technology combined with precise algorithms. Regardless of the reliability of field personnel's memory, it cannot replace the identification capabilities of professional instruments.

The product simultaneously features live cable identification, power-off cable identification, AC current testing, and AC voltage testing functions. The complete system comprises a transmitter, transmission current clamp, receiver, and flexible current clamp.

  1. Transmitter: During live cable identification or power-off cable identification, the transmitter sends signals to the target cable.
  2. Transmission Clamp: During live cable identification, the transmission clamp couples the signal emitted by the transmitter to the target cable.
  3. Live Cable Identification: Uses a clamp to couple and output pulse current, transmitting four frequencies.
  4. Power-off Cable Identification: Enables safe identification when the cable is de-energized.
  5. Receiver: A handheld device with a 3.5-inch color LCD screen and an integrated high-speed microprocessor.
  6. Flexible Current Clamp: Utilizes a Rogowski coil with excellent transient tracking capabilities to rapidly identify pulse-encoded currents generated by the transmitter.
