Description

110 g/m² butter paper delivers high rigidity and tear resistance (≥320 mN) with transparency approx. 60%. It is the preferred weight for offset printing plate making, where dimensional stability is paramount, and for luxury box interleaving that requires both a premium feel and protection. The smooth, matte surface accepts fine printing and hot stamping.

Process Introduction

The production of 110g paper requires even tighter control of fiber refining and drying. Beating degree may exceed 92°SR to achieve full fibrillation. The web is formed on a slower Fourdrinier with enhanced drainage. Pressing is followed by two‑stage drying: first low‑temperature to control shrinkage, then higher temperature for final dryness. Semi‑dry calendering at 120 kN/m and surface sizing with PVA/starch blend. Final calendering achieves smoothness ≥300s.
