The Yaskawa CIMR-AU4A0072FAA is a 380–480 VAC A1000 industrial vector drive rated at 50 HP and 72 A in normal duty, or 40 HP and 60 A in heavy duty. Its dual-rating design allows engineers to size the drive according to motor current, required starting torque and application overload rather than nominal motor horsepower alone.

Compatible System and Applications

This model can be used with conveyors, compressors, centrifuges, process pumps, mixers, packaging machines and general production equipment. The heavy-duty rating should be used where the machine requires high breakaway torque, short acceleration times or frequent load changes. Motor current and thermal loading must be verified during selection.

Maintenance and Replacement Notes

Confirm the full FAA suffix, supply voltage, motor current, braking arrangement, communication network and installed feedback card before replacement. Record the existing parameter set and terminal functions before removing the original drive. GA800 may be considered for modernization, but it should not be treated as a direct plug-in replacement without checking dimensions, wiring, options and parameter assignments.
