Derivatives of cyclohexanecarboxylic acid, such as trans-4-isopropylcyclohexanecarboxylic acid, are intermediates in the production of nateglinide, a new drug for treating diabetes. Methyl cyclohexanecarboxylate is also a very important intermediate with a wide range of uses.Colorless flake or columnar crystals. Melting point 28-30℃, boiling point 232.5℃, 120-121℃ (1.7kPa), relative density 1.0Chemicalbook481 (15/4℃), refractive index 1.4530. Soluble in most organic solvents, solubility in water at 15℃ is 0.201g/100g.

Uses:

Organic synthetic raw materials, can be used to synthesize anti-pregnancy drugs and praziquantel, a new drug for treating schistosomiasis, etc.; can also be used as vulcanized rubber volume extender, petroleum clarifier, gas chromatography stationary liquid (maximum operating temperature 100°C), vulcanized rubber solubilizer, mineral oil (petroleum) clarifier.
