Herbicide Intermediates Health Care Products 1,3-Cyclohexanedione CAS 504-02-9 Pharmaceutical Intermediates

Introduction:

This product is a colorless solid, m.p.103～105℃, soluble in solvents such as ethanol. Put resorcinol and sodium hydroxide solution into an autoclave, add nickel catalyst, and react with hydrogen at 50℃ and 70-100 atmospheres for 10-12h. Then cool down the Chemicalbook, release the pressure, filter out the catalyst, acidify the filtrate with concentrated hydrochloric acid, cool to 0℃, filter out the crystals, that is, crude 1,3-cyclohexanedione. The crude product is recrystallized with hot benzene to obtain the finished product.

Uses:

1,3-Cyclohexanedione is an intermediate of the herbicides sulfotrione and nitrosulfonone. It is used as a pharmaceutical intermediate and in organic synthesis. HPLC marker.
