Standard mecanum wheels fail in heat: PU rollers soften, grease carbonizes and seals harden. This version is built for continuous duty up to 150C with stainless steel rollers, high temperature bearings and graphite based grease, so the wheel keeps rolling in foundry, casting and paint oven transfer lines.
For ambient temperatures above 150C, a heat shield or an air cooled hub is recommended. Bearing inspection interval should be shortened to 500 hours in foundry dust conditions.
Diameter, load rating, roller material (304 or 316 stainless), shaft type and heat resistant coating thickness can be customized to your line temperature profile.
Q: Can the wheel run at 200C?
A: No. The standard high temperature version is rated to 150C; above that a special bearing and heat shield design is required, please share your temperature curve.
Q: Are the rollers magnetic?
A: 304 stainless rollers are non magnetic in annealed condition, suitable for most foundry handling. 316 stainless is available for higher corrosion resistance.
Q: What is the lead time?
A: 20-25 working days after deposit.
